Ginger Cove’s signature wellness program creates a culture that integrates every dimension of health into every day, creating a complete and fulfilling lifestyle. Designed just for older adults, our program promotes healthy aging, enhances quality of life, and infuses each day with movement, involvement, connection and inspiration.

Physical

Stay in peak health with a state-of-the-art fitness center, scheduled classes and activities, and on-site preventive care. Good physical health is integral to your overall wellness.

Intellectual

Keep your mind sharp with organized activities, such as writing (residents publish a monthly newsletter and quarterly literary magazine), reading books from our library, playing bridge, and enjoying card and board games, to name a few.

Social

Support and engage your neighbors and friends on a daily basis. Social interaction is promoted through enriching, diverse activities and programs, as well as our 50-plus committee Residents Club, which offers numerous opportunities for engaging participation.

Emotional

Share memories, experiences and feelings with those closest to you. At Ginger Cove, you’ll have those kinds of friends. Our professional, licensed social workers are available to help, privately or in one of their informative classes.

Spiritual

Practice your faith at our interdenominational services. Center yourself through mindful exercises. Commune with nature by tending to your garden bed or relaxing in our Meditation Garden. There are so many ways to nurture your spiritual health at Ginger Cove.

Vocational

Enrich your days with a range of stimulating and rewarding pursuits. Volunteer on a committee; share your skills, talents or hobbies in classes; or mentor a new resident – just a few of the opportunities to improve your vocational health.

Environmental

Promote your environmental health by helping to maintain our beautiful waterfront campus. Help to plan and plant in our Woodland Gardens or assist in the construction and placement of birdhouses around campus. As a community, we strive to reduce our environmental impact through sustainable practices such as recycling and the use of eco-friendly products.

The wellness program at Ginger Cove has really been life-changing. I am more involved and busy now than ever! There is something for everyone, from fitness and exercise programs to book clubs, classes and card games. My favorite is socializing with so many new friends in the volunteer committees and groups I participate in.
