Ginger Cove Appoints New Administrator

Phyllis Johns-Smith, of Annapolis, has been appointed Administrator at Ginger Cove, the continuing care retirement community located on Gingerville Creek in Annapolis.

Ms. Johns-Smith has been with Ginger Cove for 24 years. Her professional credentials include Maryland Nursing Home Administrator and Certified Dementia Practitioner. Most recently, she served as Ginger Cove’s Director of Apartment Support Program and Director of Assisted Living.

She holds a graduate degree from the College of Notre Dame and an undergraduate degree from Towson University.

In making the appointment, Ginger Cove Executive Director Dr. Edgar Mallick said, “Phyllis possesses a deep appreciation for and understanding of Ginger Cove’s culture and operations, and is committed to the success of the entire community.”
