Health and Wellness Expansion

In December 2007, Ginger Cove began an exciting renovation and expansion project.  This undertaking underscores our commitment to the health, wellness and welfare of every resident. It will include a renovation of the existing Health Center, as well as a 66,000-square-foot addition to the campus.

The centerpiece of the expansion will be a state-of-the-art health center on the second floor. It will feature a centrally located, 4,900-square-foot, open-air garden with walking paths and comfortable seating to provide a peaceful, scenic retreat for residents and visitors. Shaded tables on a patio will be available for alfresco dining. Windows surrounding the garden will bring natural light indoors to adjacent hallways, activities room, dining rooms and sitting areas.

The Health Center will provide for all private rooms within four residential "neighborhoods," each with its own family room and caregiver station in a homelike setting. There will also be new health care technologies and enhanced dining options.

The Wellness Center on the first floor is an especially exciting element that will add many new amenities for our residents. A new aquatic center will feature a lap pool, aerobics pool, Jacuzzi and saunas. There will also be a spa with exercise rooms, salon and massage area. A new casual dining room, outdoor dining terrace, and additional conference and classroom spaces are also planned.
